General Technical Safety Awareness Course
-
I developed a General Safety Awareness eLearning course for Siemens Gamesa to address identified gaps in existing safety training. The goal was to provide a clear, accessible baseline course that reinforces core safety expectations across roles and supports consistent training delivery.
Because safety training impacts real-world decisions, I focused on clarity, practical relevance, and usability. The course was designed to be straightforward to navigate, grounded in realistic scenarios, and aligned to measurable learning objectives so learners can apply the content on the job.

Develop a comprehensive Educational Instructional (EI) blueprint for every project, detailing essential elements like content, scope, and timeline.
Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and project managers to deeply understand the project's goals and optimal content delivery strategies.
Use the EI to maintain design consistency, map content effectively, and clarify learner engagement strategies.
Prioritize early feedback using the blueprint, reducing development uncertainties and ensuring alignment with client visions and expectations.

I create a first-pass storyboard in PowerPoint to establish the structure, flow, and content at a glance. It includes placeholder visuals and interaction notes so stakeholders can quickly review and align before development begins. Each slide also includes draft narration and clear descriptions of intended visuals and interactions to guide build decisions and reduce rework.

I build the course in Articulate Storyline using the approved storyboard and a structured development workflow. I maintain a consistent look and feel through reusable templates, styles, and interaction patterns. I incorporate purposeful interactivity and multimedia where it supports the objective, and I include knowledge checks and assessments at planned intervals to reinforce learning and confirm understanding.

I partner with graphic designers to establish a clean, realistic visual style that fits the training context and audience. I prioritize design choices that improve clarity and recall, like consistent layout patterns, purposeful imagery, and visual cues that reinforce key actions and risks. The result is training that looks polished and feels cohesive, without distracting from the learning objective.

The course received strong feedback from peers and learners, especially on the visual quality, interactions, and overall learning flow. It helped close the identified gaps in the previous General Safety Awareness training by standardizing core expectations and reinforcing key behaviors through practical, job-relevant content.
This project reinforced the value of tight alignment with SMEs and the project manager early in development. Clear storyboards, structured review cycles, and consistent design standards were key to delivering a product that matched stakeholder goals and launched smoothly.
